Zepf Center is proud to welcome Dr. Willie C.H. Garrett as the newest member of our Board of Trustees. With a career spanning government leadership, faith-based service, and community outreach, Dr. Garrett brings a powerful blend of experience, passion, and purpose to our organization.
Dr. Garret currently serves as the Program Advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and plays a key role in federal housing policy and operations. He is also the Founder and Senior Pastor of Solid Rock Church, Inc., where he has offered spiritual guidance and fostered strong community connections for over 25 years. In addition to these roles, he also serves as the Chair of Fleming Street Communications and uses his platform to inspire and uplift listeners on WJUC 107.3FM’s Sunday Morning Gospel Show.
“I decided to join Zepf Center’s Board because I’m passionate about supporting mental health and wellness in our community,” said Dr. Garrett. “My skills and experience can help further the organization’s mission to provide accessible, compassionate care.”
As a Board member, Dr. Garrett is eager to collaborate with others who share his commitment to mental health advocacy. He looks forward to contributing to strategic decisions that will impact the lives of Zepf Center clients for the better.
Because of his pastoral and professional background, Dr. Garrett sees a natural intersection between his current work and Zepf Center’s mission. He too works with community members to help them navigate life’s challenges, providing strength, fostering growth, and offering support throughout their journey. His position as a radio host also gives him a unique connection to those in the Toledo area, and will allow him to raise awareness about mental health, reduce stigma, and advocate for local treatment options.
“We are thrilled to have Dr. Garrett join our Board and are excited by the experience and unique perspectives he can share with us,” said Zepf Center CEO Deb Flores. “Dr. Garrett is an ally for behavioral health in our community, and I look forward to the milestones we can accomplish together.”
Above all, Dr. Garrett is honored to serve and ready to make a difference at Zepf Center and throughout his community.
“I’m honored to be part of an organization making such a meaningful impact on individuals and families in our community,” he shared. “I look forward to learning, growing, and contributing in ways that support Zepf Center’s continued success.”
Please join us in warmly welcoming Dr. Willie C. H. Garrett to the Zepf Center family!
