As young people in America face an ever-worsening mental health crisis, it may be difficult for caregivers to know where and when to seek help. Focused on providing accessible mental health care for the surrounding community, Zepf Center’s ever-growing Youth Services Team offers holistic support and care for impacted youth and their families.

“I have noticed that the increase of community violence, school violence, and recovering from the pandemic has impacted youth clients,” said Zepf Center Manager of Youth Therapy Services Leslie LeFevre.

LeFevre added that isolating behaviors, difficulty managing emotions, concerning peer relationships and difficulty coping with life adjustments are some signals that an adolescent may need mental health care.

In the face of this youth mental health crisis, Zepf Center is making every effort to meet the needs of the surrounding communities. Serving the greater Toledo area, they house a robust youth services department that focuses on providing accessible mental health services.

“Zepf has a strong team of youth therapists who treat a variety of mental health diagnoses,” said LeFevre. “We offer evidence-based treatment to give our clients the best possible outcomes. I see the need in our community [for accessible mental healthcare] and want to help make a difference."

Alongside dedicated team members like LeFevre, Zepf Center is increasing staff to serve the surrounding communities. They continue to onboard new team members and partner with university students who will be able to take on new clients immediately.

“Our team is incredible, but the need for mental health services in our community is ever-growing,” said Zepf Center Chief Human Resources Officer Ursula Barera-Richards. “By joining the Zepf team, [these professionals] have the opportunity to make a real difference.”

In youth services and across our range of services, Zepf Center is hiring qualified individuals to fill the ever-growing needs of the surrounding community. To view and apply for open positions, visit zepfcenter.org/careers.
