Seated in front of a radiant blue background, Zepf Center Prevention Specialist Jeanine Lindquist greets her YouTube audience with a warm, welcoming smile. From humble beginnings, her Mental Health Moments (MHM) video series now includes more than 100 segments and has reached over 1 million viewers.
Lindquist has worked in prevention for over 16 years and has previous experience teaching math and science in public schools. Her focus has always been on finding unique ways to educate, encourage and uplift those around her. She believes the MHM series is a direct extension of that.
The MHM series originated in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. After receiving a request for digital content from her supervisors, Lindquist began to explore video content creation. The MHM series was born shortly after to address an ever-growing need for community encouragement and support.
“My passion has always been to encourage and empower people,” Lindquist said. “I was excited to take this leap!”
With support from her loved ones and some time spent learning video production basics, she was soon able to create her online video series. She focused on mental health and gambling awareness and prevention, connecting these topics to relatable, teachable moments that encouraged viewers to seek out their best selves.
In addition to internal recognition for the MHM series surpassing 1 million views, Lindquist has collaborated on videos with Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services and was honored at the State Prevention Conference for her content.
“I am humbled to know that I have reached so many people and been a part of their life journey,” she said. “There is a whole world that needs to know someone truly cares about them.”
As her content evolves, Lindquist hopes the impact of her videos will continue to grow. Her plans include supplementing the MHM videos with additional resources to encourage open and productive mental health discussions.
For Lindquist, she hopes her videos continue to give viewers something to think about and something to smile about—her signature tagline. Click here to view the Zepf Center Prevention YouTube page and start your MHM journey!
