Zepf Center nominated Andrew Hohlbein a graduate from the Zepf Center Northwest Ohio Fatherhood Connections program to join the National Responsible Fatherhood Alliance. This project is funded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services: Office of Family Assistance (OFA) Technical Assistance. Andrew was selected to participate in the National Responsible Fatherhood Alliance. The Fatherhood Alliance is a project designed to offer professional development and leadership opportunities for a group of fathers who have successfully completed a HMRF Responsible Fatherhood program. The goal is to have these fathers add a new perspective to the fatherhood field. This was a competitive process which included over 80 agencies nominations across the country and only 8 fathers were chosen.
Currently, Andrew works at the Zepf Center Recovery House. Andrew has participated in a variety of services at Zepf Center including completing his Chemical Dependency Counselor Aid Training. Andrew will work locally as a fellow team member of the Zepf Center Northwest Ohio Fatherhood Connections program where he will be active in recruiting participants, facilitating trainings, and mentoring fathers in the program. Andrew will also represent the fatherhood program on a national level and will be traveling, building relationships with national resource. He will also be able to contribute to policy and practice discussion relevant to parenting challenges.
