Toledo, OH – As deaths from suicides and overdose continue to rise all over Lucas County this year, Toledo’s own Zepf Center’s Crisis Care has emerged to meet this challenge head-on. That is why on Friday morning, August 19th, Director Lori Criss of the Ohio Mental Health & Addiction Services toured the new Crisis Care wing of Zepf Center's Ashland Location. “There are a lot of people in our community who are struggling right now," says Deb Flores, Zepf Center CEO, “we want everyone in our community to know that our doors are open, and we are ready to help.”
Zepf Center’s Crisis Care offers a range of services that allow them to tailor services to each client’s individual needs. Crisis Care is an all-encompassing behavioral health care provider that operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, by qualified mental health professionals. Director Criss appreciated that Crisis Care doesn’t say “no” to clients. If a client requests services that are not a good fit, the Crisis Care team will present alternatives and explain why these alternatives may be better suited for the client’s needs. Director Criss also exclaimed that she appreciated how the employees in Crisis Care were passionate about the work that they were doing. Director Criss also liked how Crisis Care offers various levels of care that can place clients in less restrictive treatment plans. “Engaging with Director Criss was a pleasure,” said Flores, “we hope to work with her more in the future.”
