RESIDENTIAL SERVICES
Zepf Center's long-standing commitment to the housing needs of our clients is reflected in our Residential Services program.
Two group homes, Ottawa House and Maumee House, each provide a residence for eight persons. Individualized treatment assists the residents in preparing for an eventual transition to independent living if they desire. As residents display a wide range of abilities and needs, there is no predetermined length of residence. Rather, residents are recommended to a less structured environment when they, their CSP and house staff feel they are ready.
Unlike many other group homes, each resident has their own bedroom and shares a bath with one other person. As part of their routine, tenants share cleaning responsibilities and meal preparation with the staff. Some, particularly those in Maumee House, work, or participate in daily activities outside the home. Others, however, elect to spend their time in their own pursuits.
Besides the group homes, Zepf Center manages two apartment projects. The Oaks houses 20 tenants while The Stewart Apartments contains 8 units. These facilities are designed for persons not needing daily assistance or protection. Support is provided through Zepf's Community Support Program.
