September is Recovery Health Month

Recovery Month promotes the societal benefits of prevention, treatment, and recovery for mental and substance use disorders, celebrates people in recovery, lauds the contributions of treatment and service providers, and promotes the message that recovery in all its forms is possible. Recovery Month spreads the positive message that behavioral health is essential to overall health, that prevention works, treatment is effective and people can and do recover.

Illicit Fentanyl Continues to Fuel Increase in Drug Overdose Deaths

The number of unintentional drug overdose deaths in Ohio increased again in 2015, driven by a sharp rise in fentanyl-related deaths, according to a new report released by the Ohio Department of Health(ODH).

The number of fentanyl-related deaths in Ohio has increased from 84 in 2013, to 503 in 2014 and rose to 1,155 in 2015. Overall, drug overdose deaths in Ohio increased from 2,531 in 2014 to 3,050 in 2015.

Recovery House Ribbon Cutting

Zepf Center Responds to Orlando Tragedy

In response to the attack and massacre in Orlando, Zepf Center counselors will be available at the Toledo Lucas County Downtown Main Library from 5:00 - 7:30 pm on Thursday, June 15th and Monday, June 20th, to provide in-person support and brief counseling interventions, as well as referrals for follow up treatment if necessary.

University of Toledo Songfest to Benefit Zepf Center

Songfest is a grand philanthropic tradition that can be described as a song and dance performance by different University of Toledo organizations and the second oldest tradition next to Homecoming. It will be held on Saturday, March 30, beginning at 5:00 PM at Savage Arena. This year Songfest will benefit Zepf Center.
