Dr. Angela Best and Katie Beach CNP Join Zepf Center in Bowling Green

Dr. Angela Best is a psychiatrist with over 35 years’ experience here in Northwest Ohio. Dr. Best has worked in both private practice and community behavioral health centers. She earned her medical degree from the former Medical College of Ohio, now known as The University of Toledo Medical Center.


Dr. Best has a large following of patients and is well known throughout the area in behavioral healthcare. Her dedication to patients through the years has made her a sought-after provider for psychiatric wellness. Her positive reputation is due to including family education and involvement in a patient’s care and taking an interest in patient progress in counseling and other mental health programs.


Katie Beach is a Certified Nurse Practitioner with 10 years’ experience working with youth and young adults. Katie has worked in both private practice and community behavioral health centers. She graduated from The University of Toledo earning degrees in Nursing in 2006 and a Master’s of Science and Nursing in 2012.  


As a nurse practitioner, Katie’s passion is to educate families and patients on their diagnoses while incorporating all outside influences into the treatment plan. She ascribes to a holistic approach in treatment; incorporating the family unit, school, and other social aspects in order for patients to flourish and grow to their fullest potential.  She utilizes other wellness interventions to support patients’ mental health goals. Katie also collaborates with therapists, medical providers, and school interventionists to assure the highest quality care is delivered and patient mental health needs are met.


Located just off Main Street in Bowling Green, Zepf Center offers outpatient treatment options for both Mental Health and Substance Abuse.   Zepf Center services consist of psychiatric, medication management, case management, and therapy services for both adult and child/adolescent residents of Wood County.




Integrated care is the coordination of general and behavioral health care needs in an effort to treat not just the body but the mind.


The Lovell Foundation of Toledo Community Foundation Awards Grant to Zepf Center

The Board of Trustees of the Toledo Community Foundation has approved a grant from the David C. and Lura M. Lovell Foundation to Zepf Center in the amount of $31,300. These funds will be used to support the Mosaic Art Project, which utilizes art as a vehicle to connect with people living with mental illness and reduce the stigma of mental illness in our community. 


Behavioral Health Crisis Survey for MHRSB of Lucas County

The Mental Health & Recovery Services Board (MHRSB) of Lucas County is seeking input from stakeholders to understand the function and quality of behavioral health crisis services in Lucas County, including crisis call lines, mobile crisis teams, psychiatric urgent care centers, peer respite centers, crisis stabilization units, and psychiatric hospitals.



Zepf Centerís Staff Overwhelmingly Ratify Contract

Zepf Center is pleased to announce the staff represented by Service Employees International Union 1199 (SEIU), overwhelmingly ratified a three-year collective bargaining agreement on June 19, 2019. The agreement merges two bargaining units and unifies the mental health and substance use disorder sides of Zepf Center under one contract.
