Consumers can improve employment readiness while working through Worksite Adjustment because the job is not a permanent position. Therefore, the consumer is able to adapt to working without the concern of getting fired for errors made. Physical, emotional, and personal demands of working are addressed via learning durning a hands-on process. Staff provides immediate feedback and reinforcement regarding critical behaviors such as attendance, work tolerance, ability to meet employer expectations, and fitting into the work culture. Some disability awareness and management instruction is given in this service. Service might overlap with Job Development so that the consumer can be engaged in work activity while seeking permanent employment.
